Governor Shetima drops bombshell, says the hope of black man rests with the Igbo of the south east, others

- The Borno state has revelaed the hope of the black nation

- Governor Kashim Shetima said all Nigerians are the only hope for every black man

- He said Nigeria is a blessed land and if properly managed can provide a future for the black race

The governor of Borno state, Kashim Shetima, has said that the hope of the African man rest with the Igbos in the south east and every Nigerian all over the nation.

Shetima during the meeting between south east governors and their northern counterparts said the mass exodus of Nigerians from one part of the country to the other must be prevented.

He said: “This country belongs to all of us to make or mar. The population of Syria is a paltry 22 million. Only two million Syrians knocked on the door of Europe and it is causing river berating, it nearly cause Angela Merkel her job. How do you foresee a situation whereby 35 million English speaking Nigerians knocking on the door of Europe?"

This is why we have a moral obligation, we have a moral responsibility as stakeholders to make things work in this country. We all part of the challenges of leadership we are facing in this country. We have a moral obligation to make this country right," Shetima said.

“The hope of the black man rests with the people of this country. It rests with the Igbo of the South East, the Yorubas of the South West and the Hausa.

This is a blessed land endowed to human and natural resources, which if properly harnessed, can provide succor and future for the black race," Shetima added.

NAIJ.com earlier reported that President Muhammadu Buhari sent some northern governors to south east on a peace mission.

The governors led by Shetima are expected to assure the people of the south east that all Nigerians are free and safe to live in any part of the country.

The governors were also expected to assure the people of the region that there would be no molestation of Nigerian living in any part of the country by any group or section.
