After being given N50k for an abortion, pregnant 22-year-old Nigerian graduate seeks help on keeping her baby

A 22-year-old Nigerian graduate has shared her problem with the world after being offered N50,000 by her lover to have an abortion within a time frame.

The young lady whose name was not included shared her story with Amanda Chisom, a Facebook user who in turn shared with people on her page so that the young lady could be well advised.

According to the poor lady, she had an operation three years ago to get rid of the ovarian cysts found after a scan was done for her. The young lady stayed for three years without missing her period after the operation was done.

Interestingly, she met a guy who wanted to settle down with her and proceeded to have a wedding introduction. Concerned about her future with the man, the young lady said she told him about the things the doctor told her after she had the operation.

She had been told she would have an ectopic pregnancy if she got pregnant. Peradventure this did not happen, the baby would be outside her womb as her fallopian tube was said to be blocked. This made her treat all the infections she had. Sadly, this revelation did not sit well with the man as he ended up walking away.

She met a man who hid the fact that he was married away from afterwards. Unfortunately for the young lady, she missed her period not quite long after she started dating the married man. It was then all hell broke loose.

The young lady is yet to serve even though she is a graduate. She is about three months pregnant and at a crossroads. The doctors warned her not to use any strong pill as she may lose her ovaries in the process.

Her mother advised her to keep it but the young lady is naïve and does not know how to pick herself from this depressing point. The stress she is bound to her face with her new status is terrifying her too even though she had been told having an abortion is a fifty-fifty thing for her.

To be sure all was well with her, she had a scan and got to know her baby is fine and in the right place. The young lady is cringing from the shame attached to being pregnant outside wedlock as the father of her child is not ready for the additional responsibility.

She revealed that he is a rich man even though she does not have a job to sustain her and the child within her. She was told to be careful around him as he could get her killed. The man has given her two days to terminate the pregnancy after he gave her the money.

She also added that she had been warned to leave the pregnancy in church and the dream she had confirmed this too. She said the only thing she wants from the man is for him to take care of her till she puts to bed. She is sure she would be able to manage on her own from that point.
