- Conte is happy his team is hitting the right form at this stage of the season
- He has warned rivals to rule Chelsea out of any competition at their own peril
- Chelsea come up against Roma in Rome in tonight's fixture in the Champions League
Chelsea are looking like a team in form and some of their key players have returned to fitness ahead of an important week.
The English champions face Roma tonight and Manchester United at the Bridge on Sunday, November 5, in two games which could determine the shape of their season.
Key midfielder N’golo Kante is fit again and ready to follow Eden Hazard, Danny Drinkwater and Pedro back into the side which, since throwing away a 2-0 lead to draw 3-3 with Roma two weeks ago, have won three in a row.
The Chelsea gaffer has also been lifted by their big money striker Alvaro Morata clarifying in some style suggestions he was unhappy in London.
The Italian now says he would like to stay in the capital for 10 years.
“Before the Roma game, we’d lost a couple of games. Now we’ve won three in a row.” said Conte.
“It’s important for us to overcome this sensitive stage of the season.
“But whenever you are playing seven games in 21 days, you don’t sort problems out overnight.
“We’ve faced this situation since the beginning of the season. I hope it ends soon. We had three injuries, two of which now recovered. Victor Moses (hamstring) will take more. But Hazard’s ankle, Pedro’s fractured face.”
Before Morata’s injury, against Manchester City on September 30, he had netted eight goals in eight games. Since his return he has yet to score in five.
Combined with his comments suggesting a possible Diego Costa saga all over again, Chelsea fans had a right to be concerned.

But Morata dismissed their fears in emphatic fashion, “I want to say again that we had a problem of understanding in this interview.”
He said. “If Chelsea proposed me 10 years I’d probably sign that too.
“I’m happy with this club, in this city, with everything in London. I really like London and, probably, if I make good and improve, probably I can stay here more than five years. But I need to score many goals otherwise Chelsea will buy another player".
Conte added: “You know very well that last season I was alone without my family. When you work abroad, working with a lot of pressure, it’s good to have your family with you.
“But this season I’ve solved this problem because my family are with me and we’re enjoying our time in Cobham.

“We are enjoying London, enjoying this league. It’s a fantastic experience for me, for Alvaro, for every single player who decides to have this fantastic experience in a really tough league.”
Chelsea will look to improve on their first leg performance against Roma where they almost lost all three points but were able to grind out a draw thanks to Eden Hazard late equalizer.
