NAIJ.com came across a post shared by a young Nigerian lady who openly declared her interest in having a gay man as a best friend.
Despite the fact that being part of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) community can earn you a punishment of 14 years in jail in Nigeria, a young lady has lent her voice to the situation.
The young lady identified as Onyeka Ndukire, took to social media to make a 'special request' for a gay person who is willing to become her best friend, stating that she wanted a completely gay man, who would be a 'female in a male body'.
Onyeka who is probably looking for a best friend to make memories with, give to and receive advice from and who she will trust completely, took her search to Instagram.

Sharing the post indicating her search, she wrote:
"I need a male best friend, He must be Gay, I just want a female in a male body, No snitching or backbiting, No drama."
