NAIJ.com gathered that a river in the Eastern Regional capital of Koforidua, has turned a ghastly red.

Residents of the community woke up on Saturday morning to see their river running 'blood' red, although according to them, the river was fine the night before.

The cause of this change in color has not been confirmed, however it has been speculated that a chemical component from any of the factories in the area could be a factor.

Many have linked the situation of water turning blood red to a sign of end times due to the fact that a verse in Revelation states that waters would turn blood red when the end comes.
