NAIJ.com gathered that a Rivers state lawmaker decided to reward members of his constituency by handing out about 85 pieces of smartphones to them.
In what appears to be a move to provide the dividends of democracy to the people under his constituency, a lawmaker in Rivers state decided to buy and handout phones.
Hon. Okpokiri Nwanaka Okpokiri JP, reportedly gave out 85 pieces of a particular brand of smartphones to the people of Ahoada West, whom he represents in the Rivers state House of Assembly.
The post was shared by Facebook user, Majeblinks Ekpiri, who expressed his happiness with the development.

Sharing the post, Ekpiri wrote:

In furtherance to deliver dividends of democracy to his people, Hon. Okpokiri Nwanaka Okpokiri JP, member representing the good people of Ahoada west constituency in the Rivers state house of Assembly has released 85 Gionee 5 phones to his constituents for easy communication.
May God bless, protect him and his family, for touching the lives of his people. Honourable Meka!!!."
