The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted cloudy weather conditions over the central states of the country on Wednesday morning.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Tuesday in Abuja predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 28 degrees celsius to 34 degrees celsius and 17 degrees celsius to 24 degrees celsius, respectively.

It added that there would be chances of scattered thunderstorms over Kaduna, Abuja, Plateau, Mambila plateau, Jalingo, Kwara and Minna in the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency also predicted that the Southern states would experience cloudy morning with chances of scattered thunderstorms and moderate rains over Abeokuta, Ondo and Ijebu-Ode and the entire region in the afternoon and evening hours.
It also predicted thunderstorm and moderate rains over the coastal region throughout the forecast period with day and night temperatures in the range of 29 degrees Celsius to 32 degrees Celsius and 21 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius, respectively.
According to NiMet, Northern states will experience partly cloudy condition over Yelwa, Gusau, Zaria, Kaduna and Sokoto with hazy conditions over Borno, Jigawa and Yobe and sunny conditions over the rest of the region in the morning.

“Later in the day, the region is expected to be in sunny condition with day and night temperatures in the range of 34 degrees Celsius to 39 degrees celsius and 21 degrees celsius to 23 degrees celsius, respectively.
“Sunny conditions are expected over the northern cities with prospects of thunderstorms and rains over the central cities and southern part of the country within the next 24 hours,’’ the agency added.
