  • Bank guarantee
  • Debenture on the company’s assets
  • External guarantees with a notarized statement of net worth included (for loans smaller than N10m)

The bank can also issue loans to business startups if they can provide proof of business experience and have a qualified management and team working on their project.

Micro Credit:

  • 4 passport photographs of the business owner.
  • Bank statement of the business enterprise for a period of one year (for already existing business).
  • Business plan.
  • Constitution and bye-laws of Cooperative Society (for Cooperative Societies only).
  • Evidence of availability of collateral security.
  • Formal letter of application.
  • Photocopy of certificate of registration.
  • Photocopy of international passport, driver’s license or national identity card of the business owner.
  • Photocopy of the current tax clearance certificate of the business enterprise and the business owner.
  • Sales records for 6 months and operating expenses.

SME/Large Enterprises:

  • Recently audited accounts of the company for the last 3 years (for companies already existing).
  • Tax clearance certificate for the company and two directors for the last 3 years.
  • 4 recent passport photographs of two directors and the company’s secretary.
  • Approved building plan (in case it is a new building).
  • Bill of quantities or contractor’s estimate of cost to be incurred on factory building.
  • Business plan.
  • Evidence of appointment of a company.
  • Formal letter of application.
  • Photocopies of certificate of incorporation and certified true copy of memorandum and articles of association of the company.
  • Photocopies of the certified true copy of forms C02 and C07.
  • Photocopy of title documents to project site.
  • Photocopy of title documents to the collateral security.
  • Quotations for items of plant and machinery.
  • Valuation reports on Factory Buildings (for projects already existing) and property which is offered as Collateral Security.
