Chief Bode George has denied speculation that he had resigned as a member of the Board of Trustees (BoT) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Details of the resignation of Chief George, a former national vice chairman of the party, were sketchy at the time of this report, but it is believed that the action followed his bid to vie for the party’s chairmanship position at its forthcoming convention.

The top politician from Lagos is contesting against other party chieftains including former Governor Gbenga Daniel of Ogun state and Chief Raymond Dokpesi, a media mogul.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that Bode George,on Friday, November 3, picked his nomination form for the office of the national chairman.
It was reported that George displayed his nomination form at the party headquarters, Wuse in Abuja.
Among the prominent party members at the headquarters were Alhaji Ibrahim Aliyu, campaign organization, and Admiral Tunde Ogundele, the chief of staff to the former national deputy chairman.
NAIJ.com alro reported that the meeting by chairmanship aspirants for the December 9 national convention of the PDP to choose a consensus candidate among them, was again deadlocked.

New Telegraph reports that this was the second meeting the aspirants were holding since they were unveiled on October 24 at the PDP national secretariat.
