Governor Ambode splashes N50m On MFM FC, makes big promise ahead of CAF Champions League

- Lagos state has donated N50m to state based club MFM FC

- N25m is a donation for qualifying for the CAF Champions League

- The other N25m to be used to ensure a smooth CCL campaign

- MFM FC finished second in the 2017 NPFL season

Lagos state governor Akinwunmi Ambode has donated N25m to footballers and officials of MFM FC for qualifying for the 2018 CAF Champions League and another N25 to ensure they have a successful campaign.

The governor heaped praises on the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) Football Club for returning the state back to the prestigious CAF Champions League.

It has been sixteen years since a team from the state participated in the tournament.

The governor was speaking to officials of the club at the Lagos house in Alausa, Ikeja on Wednesday, October 2.

The Governor also ordered the state sports commission to ensure that the Agege Stadium, which is the home-ground being used by MFM FC, be put in good shape to meet up with CAF standard before inspection in December.
