Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City are reported attempting a summer transfer swoop of Lyon defender and Juventus target Mouctar Diakhaby.
The Blues are lining the French defender as a possible replacement for struggling Antonio Rudiger, Italian media Calciomercato claims.

As reported here, the German international has struggled to adjust to the Premier League after his big money transfer from AS Roma this past summer. Now, it appears manager Antonio Conte may look to steal Lyon centerback away from Ligue 1, and even his former club, Juventus.
The Italians have been linked with Diakhaby as they look to replace Leo Bonucci, and deal with the increasing age of Giorgio Chiellini and Andrea Barzagli. However, those plans are in danger as Chelsea are now in on the 20-year-old.

Since debuting with Lyon last season, Diakhaby has played in 40 matches, include six this season where he’s tallied a goal.
