- Brazilian star Philippe Coutinho could be on his way to Barcelona in January
- This comes after Barcelona striker Suarez agreed the player wants to join the Catalan giants
- Coutinho wanted to leave Liverpool last summer, but the Reds refused to let him go
Barcelona superstar Luis Suarez believes Liverpool midfielder Philippe Coutinho has the ambition to join him at the Spanish club.
Coutinho was said to have handed in a transfer request in the summer, but it was rejected by the Reds and Barca could well come back for him in January 2018.
Speaking to Mundo Deportivo, Suarez said: "Obviously he must have because he’s a player who has ambition and any player would want to come to Barcelona.
"He went through a difficult and very complicated moment but as a professional he continued to show how good a player he is.
"I know him as a person and as a player because I played with him, but what Coutinho can contribute everyone knows,'' Suarez explained.
Meanwhile, Liverpool signed Coutinho back in 2013, and he played for one season with Suarez before the latter was sold to Barcelona.
