Aisha Yesufu, the convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) campaign, has chided Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former Vice President, for his recent defection to the Peoples' Democratic Party (PDP).

Yesufu made her opinion public in a tweet posted on her Twitter handle, @AishaYesufu, on Sunday, November 3.

NAIJ.com notes that she questioned the former VP’s character, asking him if it was by force to serve Nigerians.

As she tweeted:

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that former Vice President Abubakar Atiku announced his return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Atiku made the announcement in a Facebook live video on Sunday, December 3 afternoon.

The former VP said his decision to leave the PDP was because the party strayed, but he had returned because the APC too had strayed from the exciting promises it made in its manifesto.
