Former Manchester boss Louis van Gaal has urged fellow country man and Dutch international Daley Blind to leave Manchester United for Barcelona.
The defender has been linked with a move to the Nou Camp ahead of the January transfer window , although he has struggled to regularly crack the United first-team this season.
Blind was omitted from the United squad for the Leicester game after failing to impress in the Carabao Cup defeat to Bristol City.

The Dutchman is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "Daley Blind is better off going to Barcelona than staying with Man United. He is not even on the bench for United sometimes.
"Daley can play in more than one position and at Barcelona he would never be sat in the stands.
"I think Daley would fit in better at Barcelona anyway. His level and his style of play is more suited to Spain than England.
"He can operate as a central defender who builds up the play. He can be a defensive midfielder or an attacking left-back. Daley can do it all."

It's the latest in a series of jibes at the club from Van Gaal, who was sacked as United manager in May 2016 after failing to qualify for the Champions League.
The Dutchman has also claimed he is unlikely to return to club management unless he is offered the chance to take the reigns at an English club, so he would have the chance to 'get one over on United'.
