Umahi congratulates Buhari at 75, praises his anti-corruption crusade

The Chairman of the South East Governors Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi has congratulated President Muhammadu Buhari as he clocks 75 years today, Sunday, December 17.

The Ebonyi state governor described President Buhari as a catalyst for Nigeria’s development, stating that the president is committed to the nation’s development and ethnic unity, Leadership reports.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Emmanuel UzorUmahi, Umahi also said that the president’s new age is a sign of blessing from God.

NAIJ.com gathered that the governor praised President Buhari for all his policies and programmes of which anti corruption crusade form greater pillar.

He further prayed God to continue to sustain him in sound health to pilot the affairs of the Nation.

Earlier, NAIJ.com reported that Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, also congratulated President Buhari on his 75th birthday.

Fayose however advised the president not to consider seeking re-election, urging him to quit when the ovation was loudest.

The governor's advice was contained in a statement sent to journalists on Saturday, December 16, by his spokesman, Idowu Adelusi.
