Breaking: Soldiers, other security agents take over APC national secretariat

As the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) finally begins its National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting in Abuja on Tuesday, February 27, reports say the party’s headquarters has been taken over by heavily armed security agents.

The Punch reports that as early as 6am, truckloads of armed soldiers and policemen set up security barricades and checkpoints at the main entrance and exit of Blantyre Street, the location of the party’s national secretariat.

The report said President Muhammadu Buhari, Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the 24 governors on the platform of the APC are expected at the meeting.

Currently, Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi, Bello Masari, and Umar Ganduje, his counterparts in Katsina and Kano have reportedly arrived the venue of the meeting.
