Barcelona star player, Lionel Messi and his heavily-pregnant wife Antonella are expecting their third child in the coming weeks.

Ahead of the big arrival, Messi was seen picking his first son, Thiago, from school along with his long-term partner.

Messi wore a flame-inspired jogging bottoms paired with white trainers and a red hoodie, while Antonella cut a casual figure.

The couples, who have already revealed the name of their third son will be known as Ciro have also been blessed with Thiago and Mateo.

Antonella shared a photo of Thiago kissing her belly last November next to the words: 'The sweetest older brother'.

Life away from football appears to be going swimmingly well for Messi and his wife as the couples were spirits and the Argentine has continued to excel on the pitch too.

Messi scored a brace for Barcelona in the comfortable 6-1 win over Girona at Nou Camp last weekend with Luis Suarez and Philippe Coutinho among the scorers.

Messi also broke his scoring jinx against Chelsea in the Champions League round of 16 first leg encounter at Stamford Bridge to give Barcelona an advantage in the return fixture.

Messi's brilliance has put Barcelona seven points ahead of Atletico Madrid, and the Catalans have maintained an unbeaten run in La Liga this season.
