Liverpool star attacker, Mohamed Salah, has revealed details of a conversation he had with former boss Jose Mourinho earlier in the season.

The tricky Egyptian, who has netted an outstanding 21 Premier League goals already this season, was signed by Mourinho for Chelsea back in 2014.

Salah joined Chelsea then with the reputation of being the "Egyptian Messi", but was given little chance to shine in south-west London.

After a not too successful first season with the Blues, Salah was sent on loan to Fiorentina before he returned to Serie A to play for Roma.

The Egyptian later joined the Giallorossi permanently before Jurgen Klopp decided he still had something to offer the Premier League and brought him to Liverpool.

Klopp's intuition proved to be a stroke of genius, as Salah has taken the league by storm this season, linking up perfectly with his Reds team-mates and netting goals for fun in all competitions.

Discussing his relationship with his former manager - who is now at the helm of affairs of Manchester United - Salah has spoken out about Mourinho.

He said in an interview with FourFourTwo magazine: "We talked at Chelsea when I first came back from the loan spell at Fiorentina,"

"We also spoke after the match against Manchester United this season and have a good relationship. We didn't talk much , but it was OK."

"Three years ago I didn't play much, but since day one back in England I wanted to show what I can do. I think I'm doing well."

Salah bagged his 20th and 21st goals of the season last time out as Liverpool drew 2-2 with Tottenham at Anfield.

The pacy Egyptian opened the scoring in the third minute of the match before finding the back of the net following a stylish run around the Spurs defence in stoppage time.
