The shaven-headed man, identified as Luca Traini, drove around the central Italian town of Macerata in a dark Alfa Romeo, opening fire with a pistol, The Telegraph reports.

He was said to have made a fascist salute. He was arrested by police in the central square, Piazza della Vittoria.
Daily newspaper, Corriere della Sera, quoted Traini's confessional statement to investigators: “I was driving to the gym when I heard on the radio about the 18-year-old girl. Instinctively I turned around, I went home, I opened the safe and took the pistol and decided to kill them all.”
