Nigeria's President Muhammadu Buhari recently mandated the ministers to give account of their stewardship at the weekly cabinet meetings, Daily Trust reports.
NAIJ.com gathered that since last week ministers been explaining to the Federal Executive Council (FEC) how funds released so far to their respective ministries were being spent.

Lai Mohammed, the minister of information, confirmed to State House reporters on Wednesday, January 31, after the FEC meeting presided by President Buhari that ministers were asked to account for funds received so far by their ministries.
He said the ministers are to explain how far they have gone with execution of projects for which their ministries had received funds.
Mohammed said this was aimed at ensuring transparency and accountability.
The process began with the minister of agriculture, Chief Audu Ogbeh and minister of health, Professor Isaac Adewole.
In a previous report by NAIJ.com, President Muhammadu Buhari presided over Wednesday, January 31, Federal Executive Council, (FEC) meeting at the Council Chamber, Presidential Villa Abuja.
The president, returned to Abuja on Tuesday, January 30, after attending the 30th African Union Summit in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was honoured as the anti-corruption champion.
