President Muhammadu Buhari has refused assent to three bills passed by the Nigerian upper legislative chamber.
NAIJ.com gathered that the deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu read a letter from the president on his decision to decline presidential assent on three bills passed by the Senate.

The bills are:
1.Police procurement funds;
2.Chartered Institute of of management Bill; and
3.Nigeria council of social works.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that President Muhammadu Buhari turned down two bills forwarded to him by the National Assembly.
The president in two separate letters to the Senate on Tuesday, November 21, said that he declined to give his assent to the bills because of certain words and phrases used in the documents.

The bills that were rejected by the president are the University of Wukari establishment bill 2017 and Chartered Institute of Treasury Management establishment bill 2017.
