Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has scored a total of 445 goals since January 2010, one more than Premier League outfit, Stoke City, who have scored a total of 444 goals in the period under review.

The 30-year-old Argentine forward broke into Barca’s first team in 2004/05 league season, and has since then become a force to reckon with at the Camp Nou – winning eight Spanish League titles, three Champions League trophies, among several other domestic and international titles in his footballing career.

Messi, who has broken several records and set many others while playing the round leather game has also won five Ballon d'Or awards.

The Barcelona forward is unarguably one of the best footballers in the history of football, with more goals than an entire EPL club over the period of eight years.

If his current tally for Barcelona is added to the number of goals he has scored for Argentina in the period under review, Messi would have scored 472 goals in the last eight years.

Stoke's total goals per game sits at 1.17 compared to Messi's simply ludicrous 1.01 all by himself.

Since 2010, no Stoke player has scored more than 14 goals in a single season since 2010, after Peter Crouch notched that tally in the 2011-12 season. Meanwhile, Messi scored 73 goals in that very same season - five times more than Crouch.

The Argentina international, who recently welcomed his third child, got married to his longtime girlfriend, Antonella Roccuzzo as they both stay in an apartment valued around £10 million after it was modified to the Barcelona star’s taste.

Messi’s mansion was originally bought for a staggering £6.2m and it was built on a 13-square mile plot.

His two goals against Chelsea in the second leg of their UEFA Champions League encounter at the Camp Nou on Wednesday, March 14 take his goal tall to a 1 hundred UCL goals.

Meanwhile, he has scored 373 goals in 409 appearances since he broke into Barca’s first team in 2004, and has also won four highest goals scorer award in the process.
