- Auta declared that the people of the area have decided to bury the remains of the victims
Unknown gunmen Thursday night, March 8, reportedly killed five people in Nzharuvo community of Basa local government area of Plateau state .
Premium Times reports that the incident happened in less than 24 hours after the President Buhari officially launched of a five-year road map for peace in the state.
NAIJ.com gathered that a youth leader of the community, Danjuma Auta, on Friday, March 9, said the victims were mostly children and a woman.

It was learnt that the attacked community is located close to ECWA secondary school, Mingo, in Bassa local government area of the state.
He said: ''With the persistent attacks on our communities, most men no longer sleep at home. We do keep vigil at boarder areas to our communities, we wonder where the attackers of our community came from.''
He said the children were hacked to death with machetes saying, ''we speak, we are preparing for their burial.’’

Police in plateau state could not confirm the incident as the spokesman of police, Terna Tyopev, said he had not been informed of the Nzharuvo attack.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the chairman of Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria in the state, Muhammad Nuru Abdullahi said three people were killed in renewed hostilities between Fulani and Irigwe youths in Bassa local government area of the state.
Abdullahi said a 19 year-old Ishaq Yusuf, was shot in the neck on while a 22 year-old Abubakar Shehu was found buried in a shallow grave near a mining site.
He also disclosed that the assailants killed 31 cattle and injured eight others adding that one person was still missing while another had sustained injuries and was recuperating.
