- Ex Arsenal star Martin Keown believes Jose Mourinho is happy with how Mkhitaryan is struggling at Arsenal
- The Armenia star completed a move to the Gunners from Manchester United in January and has only scored 1 goal
Former Arsenal star Martin Keown is of the opinion that Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho is happy with how Henrikh Mkhitaryan is struggling at Arsenal.
The Armenian winger moved to the Emirates Stadium in January 2018 as part of the Alexis Sanchez deal to Manchester United.
But since moving to London, Henrikh Mkhitaryan grabbed three assists on his home debut against Everton, other performances have drawn huge criticism.
He was also not impressive against Manchester City in the EFL Cup and also the Gunners' defeat against the Citizens in the Premier League.
And former Gunners star Keown believes Mourinho is loving his no-shows.
“We’ve talked about Ozil not doing a great deal but I’m sure Mourinho will be thinking he’s done a good deal out of Mkhitaryan because I’m sure we’d have seen more from Sanchez.
“We’ve just not seen that fire from Mkhitaryan. He’s been quiet. He’s played in a wide position but I think he’d be best served more central.” Keown told BBC Radio 5 Live.

Meanwhile Henrikh Mkhitaryan on Thursday night, March 8, scored his first goal for Arsenal which helped the Gunners beat AC Milan in the Europa League.
Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how North London club Arsenal defeated an in-form AC Milan side 2-0 at the San Siro in their Europa League round of 16 clash.
The Gunners came into the clash from a very poor run of form that saw them lose four games on the bounce, which include a back to back 3 - 0 defeat to Premier League leaders Manchester City.
