“We do not have a woman as a local government chairman in the state because many women do not support fellow women contesting election.

“This is not peculiar to Enugu state but across the federation. Women should learn to support one another to achieve political feat in the country.

“The problem of women is that they do not support the affair of fellow women because they believe in pull-her-down syndrome," she said.

The governor’s wife said she embarked on the medical mission to help sick and indigent women who could not afford to buy drugs or pay hospital bills to receive treatment.

“The aim of the medical outreach is to touch lives in the state and give the sick a sense of belonging by treating them free.

“We have visited many local governments with team of doctors, nurses and other health staff to treat sick people. The present administration in Enugu state has the welfare and health of residents as priority,” she said.

Ugwuanyi, however, urged women in the state to be united and avoid any act capable of pulling them down.

The governor’s wife commended Udenu LG for training 250 youths on various skills to make them to be self reliant as well as donation of palm kernel cracking machine, grinding machines, ice chests and other items to empower indigent persons in the area.

Some of the beneficiaries of the medical treatment thanked the governor’s wife for the kind gesture.

The occasion was attended by women from all the 20 wards that made up Udenu council.
