Cristiano Ronaldo scored four goals in a nine-goal thriller as Real Madrid demolished Girona by 6-3 at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Ronaldo tapped-in from a Toni Kroos cut-back as Los Blancos went ahead as early as the 11th minute of the match.
Former Middlesbrough striker, Cristian Stuani headed the equalizer for Girona as both sides ended the half as stalemate.

Two minutes after the restart, Ronaldo scored his brace as he lashed on to a through ball from Karim Benzema before shooting the ball into the roof of the net.
Ronaldo turned provider as he laid a pass to the on rushing Lucas Vasquez who side-footed the ball beyond the reach of the goalkeeper to make the scores 3-1.
The Portuguese striker completed his hat-trick after he pounced on an initial shot from Benzema saved by Girona shot-stopper, before scoring into an empty.
The Catalan side did not give up as Stuani again headed home from a corner kick to keep the scores at 4-2 with 23 minutes left to play.
Los Blancos put their foot on the pedal as substitute Gareth Bale beat the offside trap to score Madrid's fifth on the night.

Girona scored for from another set piece for the third time in the match as Juanpe rose highest to score giving Keylor Navas no chance.
The man-of-the-match, Ronaldo buried the game in the 90th minute and scored his fourth as Zinedine Zidane's side claimed maximum points.
Though Real are still 15 points behind Barcelona, but they move ahead of Valencia in third spot and narrow the gap with Atletico Madrid to four points.
Los Merengues will play Juventus in th quarter finals of the Champions League, a repeat of the 2016/17 finals with the first leg set for Turin.
