PDP sponsored campaign against Oshiomhole’ll fail - NIC

- A coalition has alleged a campign against the former governor of Edoi state

- National Integration Coalition (NIC) said a campaign of calumny is being sponsored by the PDP against Adams Oshiomhole

- According to the coalition, the PDP aims to"rubbish the good name of former labour leader.”

The National Integration Coalition (NIC) and the south south youths of the All progressives Congress (OAPC) has alleged a campaign against the former governor of Edo state, Adams Oshiomhole, by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

The NIC over the weekend said the opposition party is jittery of the possible emergence of Oshiomhole as the national chairman of the APC at the convention.

The coalition also accused the PDP of sponsoring a campaign of calumny against the former governor.

In a statement signed by its national president, Wesley Olowojaiye, the NIC described as a grand plot “by the PDP and its agents who are not comfortable with the likely emergence of Oshiomhole as the next chairman of the party.

He said the PDP aims to, "rubbish the good name of former labour leader.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the a presidential aspirant of the PDP, Ahmed Makarfi, had urged Nigerians to ignore the former governor of Edo state Adams Oshiomhole.

Makarfi said said Oshiomhole speaks from both sides of his mouth.

He said Oshiomhole is known for making unguarded statements and therefore, not worthy of our response.
