Portugal’s Ronaldo tenders damaging request to Real Madrid ahead of new season

- Cristiano Ronaldo has declared his intention to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for Manchester United’s Old Trafford this summer

- Ronaldo joined the Galaticos from Red Devils in 2009 and has won several silverware with the La Liga giants

- But the Galaticos are said to be considering new faces in the summer and may be desirous to offload the Portuguese superstar.

Portugal’s star Cristiano Ronaldo has declared his intention to leave the Santiago Bernabeu for Manchester United’s Old Trafford this summer unless the Los Blancos upgrade his take-home pay, suggests report coming out of the Spanish capital.

Ronaldo joined the Galaticos from Red Devils in 2009 and has won several silverware with the La Liga giants, which includes four Uefa Champions Leagues, two La Liga titles as well as other individual prizes.

However, Ronaldo, who is currently in action at the on-going 2018 Fifa World Cup in Russia, hinted moments after the Los Blancos Champions League final win over Liverpool in May, that he could by seeking a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu during the summer transfer season.

“In the next few days I will give an answer to the fans that have always been on my side,” the free-kick specialist was quoted as saying to journalists.

"It was very nice to be at Real Madrid, in the coming days I will talk about it more."

Already, that salvo from Ronaldo has set off talks and tongues wagging that the current World’s Best Football Player is set to return to familiar ground at Manchester, alongside a reunion with compatriot and former manager at Galaticos’, Jose Mourinho.

According to the UK Daily Star report, citing sources at Spain’s Don Balon, noted for famous transfer claims, revealed that the Portugal international has tendered a transfer request to Los Blancos eggheads.

The report further revealed why the 33-year-old forward is eager for a salary increase ahead of the new season.

The Portuguese superstar is aware of reports linking him with a return to Old Trafford and has urged the Los Blancos to increase his pay and they don’t act on time, he will open discussions with the Red Devils’.
