Sad day in wrestling as former WWE star dies of heart problems

- Ex-WWE superstar Leon White well known as Vader is dead

- The 63-year-old has been struggling with heart problems

- Vader underwent a successful heart surgery last year April

Former WWE wrestler Leon White also known as Big Van Vader passed away after years struggling with heart problems.

The 63-year-old was diagnosed with congestive heart failure in November 2016 and was given just two years to live but he kept on wrestling.

Vader competed in a series of shows in Japan in April 2017 and he underwent open-heart surgery this April, which was a successful one.

He played college football at the University of Colorado and was a third-round pick by the Rams in 1978.

After two years in the National Football League (NFL), he went into wrestling full time. He started in the AWA and soon moved to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he got the name, the Big Van Vader.

The 300 pounds plus fighter made his major American debut with WCW in 1990 and moved to WWF in 1996, where his name was shortened to just Vader.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported that WWE Hall of Famer Luscious Johnny Valiant died at the age of 71.

He was hit by a truck while attempting to cross the road and later died when he was rushed to the hospital.
