Alhaji Sule Gaya, Sarkin Fadar Kano has died, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
He died on Thursday, June 21 in Kano, according to a family member, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi.
According to Amina, Alhaji Gaya would be buried today, Friday, June 21 at the palace.
Aged 107, the deceased left behind many children, grand children and great grand children.
Alhaji Gaya was a member of the Northern Region’s legislature and once served as the parliamentary secretary in the regional ministry of Lands and Survey during the First Republic. (NAN)

Meanwhile, President Muhammadu Buhari arrived in Bauchi on a condolence visit to the state on Thursday, June 21.
The president's visit was to condone with the people of the state over the windstorm and fire incidents which claimed eight lives, while 120 people sustained various degrees of injuries.
