Breaking: PDP reportedly changes party name after signing MOU with 33 political parties

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reportedly announced a new name called Coalition of United Political Parties (CUPP) after it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with 33 other political parties.

According to Vanguard, the announcement came after the signing of the MoU by the leaders of the parties on Monday, July 9.

Their aim is to defeat the All Progressives Congress in 2019 and wrestle power from President Muhammadu Buhari

NAIJ.com had reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) signed a Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) with the Reformed All Progressives Congress (R-APC), the Social Democratic Party (SDP) and 31 others.

The agreement was signed at the Musa Yar’Adua centre in Abuja on Monday, July 9.

Buba Galadima led members of the R-APC, the new faction which broke away from the ruling All progressives Congress (APC), to the event.
