Nigerian professional football star Taiwo Awoniyi has signed a new long term contract with Premier League campaigners Liverpool FC.

The two stints in Germany and Netherlands ended in disappointments before his fine form in Belgium last season where he scored 10 goals for Royal Excel Mouscron.

The Premier League club confirmed the latest development about the 20-year-old Nigerian youngster on their official social media page.

“I feel excited and I feel very happy.

“It has been three years since I first came to Liverpool. So far, so good. The last year was the best for me, it has been an amazing year so far.

“I just have to keep working hard each year and I believe one day the dream will come true,'' Taiwo Awoniyi told Liverpool official website.

Taiwo Awoniyi started his football career on the street of Ilorin in Kwara state and went on to represent Nigeria at the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup winning the tournament scoring four goals during the competition.
