Premier League star excited over Ronaldo and Messi World Cup exit

Belgium’s Chelsea star, Eden Hazard is excited after the duo of Argentina and Portugal were sent parking on Saturday from the ongoing 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, reports suggest.

According to a UK Daily Star, the Belgium midfielder insists the Red Devils’ chance of charting home the $20m trophy appears brighter with the ouster of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Interestingly, the Los Blancos star made a stunning start at the commencement of the global football fiesta by netting three times against European rival’s Spain’s La Roja.

However, the Portuguese superstar failed reenact his scoring form against Uruguay’s on Saturday as the European champions suffered a 2-1 defeat.

On the other hand, Barcelona playmaker, Messi could only account for flashes of his credentials’ as the South American nation endured another poor campaign at the international level.

Hazard is looking forward to a decent result when they Red Devils’ battle Japan’s Samurai Blue in Rostov-on-Don later today (7:00pm), and remains grateful that he won’t be facing either Ronaldo nor Messi in the later rounds of the tournament.

"It's good for us, but a pity for them," Hazard noted.

"When you love football you want to see the best players.

"However, when you're competing you want them to go out, so you have a better chance of success yourself."

Belgium were eliminated by Wales during the last European Championships in France, but the Chelsea playmaker believes the Red Devils have learnt from their previous mistakes.

"This is the time, it's now or never for this generation to shine," he stressed.

"Belgium are better than in 2014 and 2016. We have more experience."
