PSG set for another world record transfer as they make a £240m bid for Coutinho

French club, Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly prepared to pay £240m to lure Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona, Mirror quoting Mundo Deportivo.

The Brazilian who only joined the Catalan giants in the January window for £142m and has settled in well at the Nou Camp.

But the Ligue 1 are desperate to win the Champions League in the coming season and keep their most priced asset Neymar happy.

The Brazil star man is believed to be unhappy in Paris and has reportedly demanded for quality players next season.

And according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo , PSG want to reunite Neymar with his fellow countryman who seemed to have good partnership at the World Cup.

The report from the Spanish medium claim PSG have yet to contact Barcelona directly but made the offer to Coutinho's agent.

The former Liverpool star player has a release clause of £350m but Barcelona are highly unlikely to release him.

The Parisians remain at the centre of an investigation by UEFA after they allegedly broke the financial fair play rules spending almost £400m on Neymar and Kylian Mbappe last summer.

The Parc Des Princes could sell Mbappe to Real Madrid if Cristiano Ronaldo decides to leave the European for Serie A side Juventus.

The Portugal international has reportedly agreed terms with the Italian side and could bring an end to his nine-year stay at the Spanish capital.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had earlier reported Brazil crashed out of the Russia 2018 World Cup following their 2-1 loss to Belgium in the round of 16.
