The general overseer of the latterRain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare said he did not meet President Muhammadu Buhari because of minister of finance, Kemi Adeosun's alleged forgery of National Youth Service Corps exemption certificate.
Vanguard reports that Pastor Bakare said he only went to the Presidential Villa to thank and appreciate the President for sending a high powered delegation to the funeral of his late mother.
The cleric said: “The story published by some social and print media today is both cheap and sensational journalism. Hon. Min. Kemi Adeosun and I arrived at the Villa at different times.

“We met at the corridor. She went on to see someone else in the Villa and I went into a closed door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari alone to thank him for sending a powerful delegation to my mother’s Home-going Celebration. This is the truth. ”
“The impression being created is as if she ran to me to speak to the President on her behalf. This impression is erroneous and false. I will appreciate that my side of the story is also published.”
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the chairman, presidential advisory committee against corruption, Itse Sagay called on the NYSC to immediately release its findings on the controversy surrounding the alleged forgery of exemption certificate by Kemi Adeosun.
Sagay who made this known during an interview on Friday, July 13, said the NYSC would need to clear the air as soon as possible to prevent speculations and further distractions.
According to him, “To start with, without expressing an opinion on the validity of the exemption certificate or not, we have been preaching transparency in government operations since the time we came to power.“
