2019: APC senator sends crucial plea to party members; urges them to unite for Buhari’s victory

- Senator Ajayi Boroffice has urged APC members in Ondo state to unite in order to ensure victory for President Buhari in 2019

- He said it is time for all aggrieved leaders, all dissatisfied members, all factional tendencies and all political groups to drop their grievances and come together as a party to deliver massive victory for the president

- He reminded party members that cohesion was one of the major factors that triggered the APC’s great outing in the state, in 2015

Senator Ajayi Boroffice (APC- Ondo North) has called on all leaders and members of the ruling party in the state, to embrace unity and peace ahead of the 2019 general elections.

He made the call in a statement issued by his media aide, Kayode Fakuyi, to commemorate the Eid-el-Kabir festival on Tuesday, August 21, Punch reports.

NAIJ.com gathers that the senator stated that President Muhammadu Buhari can only win the presidential election in the state, if there is unity in the party.

He said: “In this atmosphere of Eid-el-Kabir, it is imperative to admonish all leaders and members of the APC in Ondo state to come together, build party cohesion and work together for the electoral success of President Muhammadu Buhari and other APC candidates in the 2019 general elections.

“There is no denying the fact that there are many issues that have given leeway to all manners of speculations and postulations about crises and disaffections within the APC in Ondo state.

“However, it is time for all aggrieved leaders, all dissatisfied members, all factional tendencies and all political groups to drop their grievances and come together as a party to deliver massive victory for President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 general elections.

“It is time for all party men and party women of conscience to be guided by the lessons of history. Recent political history has availed worthy lessons that should guide us to create the future of our party.

“Party members should be reminded that party cohesion was one of the major factors that triggered the great outing of the APC in the 2015 general elections in Ondo state.

“Without party cohesion, APC would not have been able to defeat the then ruling party in Ondo state.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that leaders of the All Progressives Congress in Ondo state, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to run again in the 2019 presidential election.

The party leaders in Ondo-North senatorial district also passed a vote of confidence on the state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, over his outstanding achievements so far.
