Checkout Ronaldo's funny reaction after missing a sitter for Juventus in his home debut (video)

Portugal star Cristiano Ronaldo enjoyed a winning home debut for Serie A champions Juventus.

The encounter saw the Turin based outfit beat Lazio 2-0 to claim their second consecutive victory in the Italian topflight.

The former Los Blancos forward got the nod to star in the attack alongside the pair of Mario Mandzukic and Fernando Bernadeschi, with Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa, handed bench roles.

However Juve’s first goal of the day came from a midfielder after Miralem Pjanic nailed a lovely half-volley from outside the area with goalkeeper Thomas Strakosha nowhere near it.

Lazio had their moments during the encounter, but couldn't find a way to break Juventus defence line, before Mandzukic’s 75 minutes goal ensued the Bianconeri claimed all three points.

Joao Cancelo released a lovely low cross into the penalty area, which Ronaldo tried to tap-in but a touch from Strakosha took it away from the Portuguese star.

However, the big Croatian forward was spot on to benefit from the €100m man's blushes.

Some fans were throwing jibes at Ronaldo for being petty, while others simply acknowledged his smile and frustration with himself.

Interestingly the big talking point after the match was how the Portugal star reacted after Mandzukic scored from the sitter he missed.

Initially, it appeared Ronaldo was throwing a mini tantrum after he failed to net, but the replays showed a completely different side to it all as Ronaldo was all smiles despite the miss

The Portuguese was in the thick of the action throughout the match and was denied a television debut goal for the champions in the second stanza.

Lazio shot-stopper Strakosha ensured again, producing what will likely emerge one of the saves of the season come May after denying the five-time Ballon d'Or winner another goal scoring opportunity for the umpteenth time.

Juventus tackle Parma in their next Serie A fixture and Ronaldo will be looking forward to finally score his first goal in the Italian topflight.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had previously reported that Cristiano Ronaldo failed to score in the second game running for Juventus as the Turin giants recorded a comfortable 2-0 win over Lazio.

Wojciech Szczesny was put to test in the early exchanges of match but a the Polish number one had a shot from Senad Lulic covered.

The Biaconeri had a slow start into the match as Simone Inzaghi's side did not give the home team space to pass the ball around comfortably.
