- Oyo state chapter of African Democratic Congress may soon run into crisis after its members failed to reach a unanimous congress submission
- The aggrieved members accused former Oyo state governor, Ladoja, of conspiracy, adding that he is planning to hijack the structure of the party
- They wanted the result of the congress dismissed and reversed within 72 hours
There are clear indications that fresh crisis is looming in Oyo state's chapter of African Democratic Congress (ADC) after the party's congress result was rejected by the Unity Forum faction of the party.
The aggrieved members, majorly those who defected from the All Progressives Party (APC) after a fallout with Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi, gave the party leadership led by Rashidi Ladoja a 72-hour ultimatum to reverse the party's congress result.

In a report by The Punch, the grouse of the Unity Forum members led by Busari Adebisi is because the party chapter failed to yield to the directives of the party's national body stopping it from holding congress.
They also added that Ladoja and his political loyalists are desperate to hijack the leadership train of the party from others.
NAIJ.com notes that the aggrieved members also accused Ladoja of conspiracy, adding that the Ibadan high chief only shared the executive positions with people loyal to his ideology.

According to Adebisi: “A conspiracy was hatched between Michael Koleoso and Ladoja. They both threatened to leave the party if they did not get what they wanted. We complained of non-existence of internal democracy in the APC but the same is being introduced to the ADC.”
“No further notice regarding the postponement has been given to the members of the party. On August 28, 2018 Koleoso, Ladoja and their supporters held a meeting without inviting members of the Unity Forum, where a purported list of state executive members was generated and offices shared among them."
Ladoja's camp have not responded to the allegation as at the time of filling this report. They said their principal has travelled and would respond accordingly when he returns.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s adopted political party, African Democratic Congress (ADC), has pledged that it would restore good governance to the people of Ogun state if it is elected in 2019 election.
