The Nigeria Police has began a tracking processes on the Senator representation Kaduna north Senatorial district, Suleiman Hunkuyi, after he failed to honour an invitation by the force.
Vanguard reports that the Senator had refused to honour the police invitation over an investigation into a N369 million deal allegedly carried out by the Senator.
A top police officer said the Police have been waiting for the Senator to honour the invitation for the past 27 days but he has refused to do so.
The officer said: “In the last 27 days, we have been waiting for Sen. Hunkuyi."
The officer said the police might have no option but to declare the Senator wanted if he fails to honour the invitation.
“It has been difficult to track his location because his known phone lines, including a Benin Republic mobile line, had been switched off. The police may have no choice than to declare him wanted if he does not show up for interaction.
“All those mentioned in the case have appeared before the Police including the NLC leadership in Kaduna State and the Kaduna Geographical Information System, KADGIS, except the Senator," the police officer said.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Hunkuyi was invited by the police over a case they are investigating.
The senator was asked to appear at the force headquarters Abuja on Wednesday, August 8, before one Ibrahim Agu, a deputy superintendent of police.
The letter with reference number AR:300/IGP.SEC/MU/STS/FHQ/ABJ.T.A/VOL.9, was signed by an assistant commissioner of police, Mr Sanusi Mohammed.
