The supreme head of Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, His Most Eminence Solomon Adegboyega Alao, has urged Nigerians not to vote aspirants based on ethnic, religious or gender sentiments in the 2019 general elections.
Vanguard reports that Gboyega called on Nigerians to consider someone that would further unite the divided people of the country and someone that would provide conducive atmosphere for socio-economic growth.
NAIJ.com gathers that the cleric made the charge while delivering his keynote address during the 93rd anniversary of the church.

Gboyega, who commended President Muhammadu Buhari's developmental drive, also urged the president to continue to equip the Nigerian military and the police in order to solve the issue of insecurity in the country.
He said: “As we move towards another rounds of general elections in the country, I urged you Seraphs obtain your PVCs and participate actively in the election process, be good citizens of the country.
“I also use this occasion to urged the President Muhammadu Buhari government to make more funds available for the military and the police to be able to combat the menace of terrorism, cattle rustling and killer herdsmen ravaging parts of the country.
“I also urged the government to ensure speedy return of Leah Sharibu and other remaining Chibok schoolgirls."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that a movement within the Catholic church, Catholic Action - Nigeria, revealed it had plans to screen politicians contesting for public offices in the 2019 general elections.
The group revealed this through its chairman, Board of Trustees, Peter Agbontaen, at a media briefing on Monday, August 20 in Abuja, stressing that they would be examining individuals who make themselves available to their screening committee.
