- The singer took active part in his uncle's campaign to become the governor of their home state

On Thursday, September 27, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared APC’s Gboyega Oyetola the winner of the Osun state governorship election after a rerun election.

Oyetola polled a total of 255,505 votes after the collation of the results of the supplementary election in seven polling units across four local governments, while PDP’s Ademola Adeleke polled a total of 255,023 votes to come second.

The outcome of the election result has been greeted by diverse reactions with the opposition party crying foul, foreign observers are not left out too.

Nigeria super star, Davido, who played an active role in the campaign of his uncle, Sen Ademola Adeleke, have been quiet about the outcome of the election until Sunday, September 30 when he replied to a tweet on the election result.

He tweeted that: “God knows best! Best believe he will come thru soon”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that Johannes Tobi Wojuola, a member of the presidential media team of Muhammadu Buhari, took to his Twitter page to taunt Davido.

In the tweet he wrote to the singer, the media expert mockingly requested that Davido perform at the thanksgiving party in honour of the Osun state governor-elect Gboyega Oyetola.
