The Nigerian Army said in the evening of Monday, October 15, that its troops of the 121 Battalion Pulka rescued 12 victimsof the Boko Haram insurgency in Shave Village located in Borno state.
The success was achieved in conjunction with members of Civilian Joint Task Force.

“Troops of 121 battalion in conjunction with members of Civilian Joint Task Force and some vigilantes, on a clearance operation along Maiduguri Bama Pulka axis today, 15 October 18, rescued 12 people (five women and seven children) who were abducted by BHT at Shave village.

“During the operation, 2 BHT were neutralised. Items recovered include 2 locally made dane guns and a first aid box.
“The COAS has commended the gallant troops and directed them to continue with the clearance operations on other flanks,” a statement from the Nigerian Army said.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that a faction of the Boko haram terrorist group, the Islamic State West Africa Province reportedly killed Hauwa Leman.

Leman was an aide worker with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
The group also reportedly threatened to keep Leah Sharibu as a slave for life.
