Jonathan still owes me N24m for printing campaign posters in 2015 - Printer alleges

- The managing director of a printing company has called out former president Goodluck Jonathan

- The man, Olusegun Idowu, says he is still being owed for printing of Jonathan's campaign posters in 2015

- Idowu said his company was paid N30 million cash, but N24 million remains unpaid till date

Olusegun Idowu, the managing director of Paste Poster company limited, has alleged that his company is still being owed N24 million for the printing of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign posters for the 2015 presidential election.

According to him, the N24 million was part of a total of N54 million poster pasting and consultancy jobs that his company did for the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation during the last general elections.

He alleged that N30 million cash was paid for consultancy and printing of the ex-president’s campaign posters, while another N24 million remained unpaid till date.

On Wednesday, September 27, he appeared before the Federal High Court in Lagos, where the then director of media and publicity of the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, is being prosecuted for an alleged fraud of N4.9 billion.

Also a former minister of state for finance, Nenadi Usman, was listed as one of the defendants in the charge. Other defendants in the case are one Danjuma Yusuf and a company, Joint Trust Dimensions Limited.

They all pleaded not guilty to the charges. While being cross-examined by Fani-Kayode’s lawyer, Norrison Quakers (SAN), Idowu told the court that his company got the poster printing job from the Goodluck Jonathan Campaign Organisation through referral by a member of the organisation, Aderemi Ajidahun.

When asked by Quakers whether he had any direct dealing with Fani-Kayode, Idowu stated that he never had any direct dealing with Fani-Kayode.

The case was adjourned till November 20, 21 and 22 for continuation of trial.

Meanwhile, Goodluck Jonathan has responded to Governor Rochas Okorocha’s statement that he was offered bribe by the former president to win the southeast in the presidential election.

NAIJ.com reports that Jonathan in a statement issued on his behalf by Ikechukwu Eze, his spokesman, said Okorocha’s accusation could only have happened in his dreams.
