Take note: Here are the cities and states to experience thunderstorm, rain in Nigeria on Friday, September 29

- The Nigerian Meteorological Agency predicts partly cloudy weather conditions on Friday morning, September 29

- Central states’ cities of Makurdi, Abuja, Lafia, Mambila and Yola are expected to experience isolated thunderstorms

- The agency also predicted that southern states would experience chances of thunderstorms and rains

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) says central states of Nigeria including Abuja, Mambila plateau and Jalingo, Makurdi, Lafia and Yola would experiencea cloudy weather condition in the morning of Friday, September 29.

The prediction came from NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office (CFO) on Thursday, September 28, in Abuja.

The office also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 27 to 32 and 17 to 23 degrees Celsius just as it stated that the central states would experience chances of scattered thunderstorms activities over Jos, Lafia, Abuja Kaduna, Ilorin and Minna axis in the afternoon and evening period.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the agency predicted that southern states would experience morning thunderstorm and moderate rains over Ondo, Shaki, Iseyin, Ibadan, Abeokuta, and Akure in the afternoon and evening hours.

Apart from this, the agency predicted afternoon and evening moderate rains over Enugu, Awka, Umuahia, Enugu, Port-Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and Owerri, with day and night temperatures of 28 to 30 and 22 to 23 degrees celsius.

NiMet said northern states would experience thundery activities and light rains in the morning, while “partly cloudy to cloudy conditions” are expected over the region in the afternoon and evening.

“The Northern region is also expected to have day and night temperatures in the range of 32 to 38 and 20 to 25 degrees Celsius during the forecast period.

“There is likelihood for rainfall activities to affect the country in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted.
