Former minister of education, Oby Ezekwesili has sent a message to President Muhammadu Buhari not to move on over the issue of the alleged $25bn scandal rocking the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporatio (NNPC).
The former minister spoke in reactions to the reported reconciliation between Ibe Kachikwu, the minister of state for petroleum and Maikanti Baru, the group managing director of the NNPC.

In a series of tweets on Monday, October 16, the former minister called on the president to investigate the allegations and act on recommendations provided from the outcome of the probe.

Meanwhile, a report by The Cable indicates that the private residence of Kachikwu, caught fire on Sunday, October 15.
According to the report, the fire started in the bedroom of the minister of state for petroleum in the evening.
The house is located in Asokoro, a highbrow area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
