Retired soldier reveals how his son disappeared from home

- Stephen Akpuna 72, a retired soldier from Esan northeast local government area of Edo state, has disclosed why his son went away from home since March 2013

- Akpuna said his son Franklyn Akpuna 35, ran away from home because he was a gay

- Chris Akpuna, a brother to missing Franklyn, said he was surprised at his brother’s attitude

Stephen Akpuna 72, a retired soldier from Esan northeast local government area of Edo state has cried out to Lagos state police command to help locate his son, Franklyn Akpuna 35, who disappeared with one Patrick since March 2013.

Naij.com learnt that the duo allegedly went away with the company of other gay friends to Lagos state and all efforts to trace them proved abortive.

Speaking from his hospital bed, Akpuna said his problem started when he discovered that his son was involved in homose*xual activities.

According to him, “In March 2013, my son Franklyn Akpuna ran away from home because he was a gay. We were not happy with him.

‘’There was a time I threatened to arrest him with his friends that use to come to my house they were all gay.

‘’Since he ran away from home with some of his friends and changed his phone number I am seriously ill now owing to thinking and I want him to come back home”.

Chris Akpuna, a brother to missing Franklyn, said he was surprised at his brother’s attitude, saying he never believed that his brother would find pleasure in gay practice.

He said: “In my community, they knew him as a gay, they will be referring my father as the father of that gay boy.

‘’He will be coming to our house with his gay friends. My father planned to arrest all of them, but he ran away from home.''

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the two gay men from Kenya identified as Njorige and Kamau officially got married from the pictures they shared.

Africans reacted to the supposed marriage with a lot of comments that showed that they don't approve of same gender marriage.
