The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, has said he is ready to die in 2019 to ensure victory for the Peoples Democratic party (PDP) in the forthcoming general elections.
Wike said former president Goodluck Jonathan lost election in 2015 because he was surrounded by people who were not sincere.
The governor speaking in an interview said there was lack of commitment and sincerity among PDP members during the 2015 general election.

Wike however, said the party fought tirelessly to ensure victory in Rivers state.
He said, attaining victory was the driving force for members of the PDP in Rivers state during the last election.

Wike said: “The whole thing boils down to sincerity and commitment and sincerity. We said if things would not happen, all of us would go down with it. That was the driving spirit for us and that is what we are going to repeat in 2019.
“If the Federal Government is going to kill all of us, so be it. Because we know what they have planned and their strategies and so when it is time, we will face the APC squarely in this state. Just watch," Wike said.

Wike speaking on the recent agitation for Biafra said all nations have their challenges and a break up is not the way to go for Nigerians.
He also urged Nigerian leaders to seek better ways of solving Nigeria's challenges.
