APC splinter group is funded by PDP and their target is Buhari! - Katsina gov raises alarm

- Governor Aminu Bello Masari of Katsina state has blasted members of APC Akida, the splinter group of the ruling party, describing them as ‘sponsored agents’ of the PDP

- The governor stated that the group was going round various states sowing confusion; and disclosed that their real target was President Muhammadu Buhari

- According to Masari, the group was upset with the president for blocking most of the leakages they had been using to loot the public treasury

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, has stated that the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is sponsoring members of APC Akida, the splinter group of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to reports, the governor made his comments in a chat with newsmen on Wednesday, November 8.

NAIJ.com gathers that the governor disclosed that the group had a mission to weaken the ruling party ahead of 2019, and that its target was President Muhammadu Buhari.

He stated: “I am not the target of the group; they are only involving me being the governor of Buhari’s state of origin. But in actual sense, Buhari is their target.

“One can clearly understand their motive; they have been going from one state to another, particularly President Buhari’s stronghold states, creating confusion in the ruling APC.

“Their main objective is to weaken the APC ahead of the 2019 general elections so that PDP can have an easy ride on the ruling APC. They want to bring back the politics of sharing public funds.

“They are not happy with the president because he has blocked most of the leakages they have been using to loot public treasury.

“They are not happy with me because in Katsina state we also applied a similar method. We said the public must enjoy every kobo gained by the state. We refused to share the money; and it is because of that that leaders of APC Akida want to create confusion in Katsina APC.

“But we thank God the masses are not blind; they are up to date about what we have been doing to improve their wellbeing.

“We are concentrating on human development and educational re-engineering. We have made it mandatory that every Katsina indigene must benefit from the dividends of democracy.”

Recall that NAIJ.com previously reported that a faction of the All Progressives Congress (APC) known as APC Akida, appointed its leaders at the state level.

The group had been operating in Kaduna for a while, but decided to come out in full force with the appointment of state executives.
