Argentine superstar has finally put pen to paper for a new deal at Barcelona. The deal will see him stay at the club till 2021 with the buyout clause set at £626 million.

This deal was confirmed by Barcelona on their official twitter handle on Saturday, November 25, and Messi was pictured signing with Barcelona president seated beside him.

The deal was agreed immediately after five-time Ballon d'Or-winner's wedding, but deal was only official confirmed today, November 25.

When his new deal expires in 2021, the Argentine skipper would have spent 17 seasons at the Catalonia club.

Lionel Messi joined Barça back in 2000 as a 13-year-old, arriving from Newell's Old Boys, after impressing throughout the various youth categories.

He has played 602 games for Barcelona, scoring 523 goals and winning 30 trophies in his 14 seasons at the club.
