The House of Representatives has been informed that Abdulrasheed Maina, the sacked chairman of the Presidential Task Team on Pension Reforms, is an American citizen, Vanguard reports.
The disclosure was made by the comptroller general of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), Mohammed Babandede, on Wednesday, November 29.

NAIJ.com gathers that while appearing before the adhoc committee investigating Maina’s controversial reinstatement into the Federal Civil Service, Babandede further disclosed that the ex-pension’s boss holds 3 passports.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Abdulrasheed Maina, the embattled former chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Pension Reforms, was told to present himself in court, instead of requesting to see President Muhammadu Buhari, by a Lagos-based human rights lawyer, Jiti Ogunye.
Ogunye spoke in reaction to an exclusive interview granted by the former pensions boss, in which he insisted that he was not guilty of the allegations leveled against him.
The lawyer insisted that Maina’s request was an attempt to evade justice, and described it as a ‘cock and bull story’.
